The Spring 2014 Performing and Visual Arts classes are available to 5th~8th graders who have an interest in high level instruction. These classes are offered to students at any level of ability, meeting at Tenakill Middle School directly after the school day concludes. A registration fee of $5 will be charged for each student. Materials lists for Art Classes are listed below. Students must bring their own materials (listed below) to art classes.

Spring 2014 Programs
REALISTIC DRAWING AND PAINTING with JoAnn Puleo in Art Room - limited to 16 students
7 sessions/$85 + materials, Tuesdays, 3:15 - 4:15, MAR 18, 25, APR 1, 8, 22, 29, MAY 6; make up MAY 13
Students wil use cameras or phones to photograph images to be used for their paintings. (They should be able to send the photograph they take to our computer.) Through demonstration and step by step instruction students will complete two acrylic paintings. Skills in color mixing, use of brushes, value scales and more will be included in instruction.

MINIATURE CLAY CREATIONS with JoAnn Puleo in Art Room- limited to 16 students
7 sessions/$85 + materials, Wednesdays, 3:15 - 4:15, MAR 19, 26, APR 2, 9, 23, 30, MAY 7; make up MAY 14
Students will use Sculpey clay to create miniature food, people, monsters, beads, animals and more. Step by step instruction will include how to create and display each form. Multiple basic skills in clay will be used to complete projects.

CARTOONING with Rob Neblung in classroom
7 sessions/$85 + materials, Tuesdays, 3:15 - 4:15, MAR 18, 25, APR 1, 8, 22, 29, MAY 6; make up MAY 13
The most natural "cartooners" on Earth are children. When even a small child is encouraged to take the workable step-at-a-time procedure, he can make tremendous progress in cartooning know how. Students will become familiar with multiple ways and means, and styles and techniques of cartooning. Every student, with the potential to draw like no one else, will channel practice into an enjoyable wide area of creativeness.

- Two Canvas boards or Canvases (8x10 or 9X12)
- A rag for clean up
- A Camera or Phone
- A shoe box or plastic box for the transport of paints
- 4 canvas boards 8 x 10 or larger
