Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter Egg Hunt, which was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 31st, at 10:00am, has been changed to Sunday, April 1st, at 1:00pm, due to expected inclement weather.   Please see Upcoming Events for details.  Please check the Rec Hotline for further updates 201-750-9507, ext. 6.  

Little League/Girls Softball Parade and Opening Day Ceremonies
Sunday, April 29th
leave Borough Hall at 12:45pm

The annual Little League/Girls Softball Parade will take place on Sunday, April 29th, at 12:45pm.  All children in grades K-8th are encouraged to march in the parade with their team.  The parade will start at the Borough Hall and proceed through town to the George Potterton Little League field.  Children should be at the Borough Hall at 12:30pm to march in the parade.  After the opening day ceremonies, games will take place at various fields in town.  Children will be notified as to whether they are scheduled to play on this date.  All teams will be picked by Monday, April 23rd.  If you don't receive notification of what team your child is on by April 23rd, please email Jim Oettinger at [email protected].

Spring Travel Baseball Tryouts (Boys Grades 3-6)
3/4 Grade -  Friday, March 2nd - 8:00pm to 9:30pm @ TENAKILL GYM
               -  Saturday, Mar 3rd - 7:30am to 9:00am @ TEELS

5th Grade  - Friday, March 2nd - 6:30pm to 8pm @ TEELS
               - Sunday, March 4th - 11:00am to 12:15pm @ TENAKILL GYM

6th Grade - Saturday, March 3rd -  5:45pm to 7:00pm @ TENAKILL GYM 
               - Sunday, March 4th -  9:00am to 10:30am @ TEELS
It is encouraged for all children who are interested in playing SPRING Travel Baseball to attend both tryouts; and more importantly, each child must attend AT LEAST one tryout to be eligible to be on the team.  The Spring Travel baseball program will consist of games on Sundays and will have extra practices during the week. In order to play on the spring travel teams, you MUST participate in the Rec baseball programs and unexcused absences from Recreation games on any given week may affect your participating in each week's travel game. 

Please make sure that you are on time for these tryouts.  You must wear sneakers and comfortable clothes appropriate for baseball; and you must bring a mitt (and a bat and helmet if you have them).
