2020 SKI CLUB

The Closter Recreation sponsored Ski Club is open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders.

For the past 25+ years we have had the honor of having a set group of parents and Recreation Coaches volunteer their time to spearhead the Closter Recreation Ski Club.

We will be having a PARENTS ONLY initial meeting to discuss the viability of continuing with the Closter Recreation Ski Club moving forward.  Without enough commitment from the parents we will not be able to continue this great program that we offer the youth of Closter.  We need to have enough adult chaperones to attend the trips, monitor the children on the bus and at the lodge, and have enough help in coordinating loading and unloading the buses.

We are hoping that we can get the needed commitment to continue.  We are planning to have 4 trips which are tentatively scheduled for the following dates:  Fridays, January 10, 17, 24, 31.

We will have information in greater detail as to what is needed/expected from everyone at the meeting and we need at least one parent of each child in attendance for this make or break meeting. Those at the meeting will be given priority to attend the trips as we will most likely have on bus. ("One Bus" means that we will only be able to have 45-48 kids in the ski club).

The meeting will take place on MONDAY, October 21st at 7:30pm at the Tenakill school auditorium.  Please pass this message on to your friends and neighbors and please consider volunteering and continuing this great tradition.

Thank you,

Jim Oettinger and Closter Ski Club board members
